Clothing and Armor

Image:Clothing-icon.png

All clothing provides different armor and radiation protection.
Deng commissars can teach you a lesson in style.
Deng commissars can teach you a lesson in style.

Vacuum-resistant Armor

Note that this armor can be damaged by combat, making subsequent exposure to vacuum conditions an unpleasant experience.

  • Spacesuit
  • DRG Spacesuit
  • Armored Spacesuit
  • Battle Suit
  • Powered Battle Suit
  • Mining Suit - Very heavy-duty armored spacesuit. Worn by asteroid miners.
  • Hazmat Suit - offers increased radiation protection
  • Atlas Exoskeleton - comes with an integral pincer arm that can crush rocks, or other objects
  • OAT Dropsuit

Non-Vacuum-resistant Armor

  • Light Kevlar Jacket -
  • DRG Body Armor -

Clothing

Clothing only protects your modesty, and in some cases not even that.

  • Uniform - A generic uniform. You could be a marine, a barrista, a janitor, a police officer, who knows?
  • Lab Coat -
  • Halloween Mask - no function yet
  • Hawaii Shirt -
  • DRG Uniform -
  • Bikini -
  • Designer Dress -
  • Dinner Jacket -
  • Greasy Overall -
  • Pyjama -
  • Red Shirt -
  • Sweat Suit -
  • Underwear -

Non-human Armor

  • Tough Hide -
  • Bony Scales -
  • Carapace -
  • Hardened Carapace -
  • Quartz Skin -
  • Alien Skin -

Other Armor

  • Aluminum Body
  • Ceramic Body
  • Turret Armor
  • Heavy Turret Armor

Technical Equipment

Image:Card-icon.pngImage:Writing-icon.png

  • Fire Extinguisher - Spray foam to put out fires.
  • Geiger Counter - When equipped it reports radiation.
  • First Aid Kit. Restores Hit Points. Everyone can use it but having the Medic skill restores more points and prevents accidental morphine overdoses.
  • Holoduke: a holographic image of a Marine, used to trick stupid gloops. Lasts for about 36 hours (real time).
  • IFF Transponder
  • Motion Scanner
  • Motion Scanner (dir.)
  • High Pressure Cleaner - can be used to remove Sticky Goo from adjacent squares
  • Leakstop Paste - to patch those holes in your spacesuit
  • Keycards - can be used to open certain doors.
  • Steroids - give you that little extra stamina when it really counts
  • Shovel - dig things up, maybe even put together a truly bomb decoy.
  • Particle Radio: This hi-tech radio can send secure messages to other particle radios on different maps. Each radio has its own unique channel number that is stated in your equipment list ("Particle Radio CHANNEL 11"). To send a message, you must know and specify the channel number of the recipient's radio. Use the Notes function to write down all channel numbers known to you! Space ships and command posts can be equipped with fixed particle radios. If you send a message to one of those, every member of your team (i.e. marines, civilians) on the same map as the fixed radio will receive the message (the radio's linked to the team's comm channel or a loudspeaker).
  • Thermal Sight: Having a TS (it does not have to be equipped!) enables a human to see in the dark. It also allows seeing Predators at any range.
  • Toolbox: helps with building barricades
  • Remote Sensor: Can be set up anywhere. Owner can log in as the sensor and see its surroundings. Batteries last for about 36 hours (real time).

Stuff

Image:Stuff-icon.pngImage:Food-icon.pngImage:Alcohol.png

Some of these items are only decoration. Others might be useful in a scenario.
  • Alcoholic beverages: tend to make you drowsy but more enthusiastic for a while.
  • Food: Unknown effect, but Zarq sure did put a lot in there
  • Thermos Jug: Strong coffee. Removes some Stun Points.
  • Bear Trap: can be set as a boobytrap. Reusable.
  • MP12 player: listen to your favorite tunes, 24h a day. An added advantage is that you don't hear people scream all the time. Actually, it doesn't do anything yet.
  • Polaroid Camera: Make a snapshot of your friends or dead monsters. You have to be in the same square. Save the image with your browser's "Save Image As..." function or it will be lost.
  • Rad-B-Gone tablets: Contrary to what the name implies, they do not prevent radiation damage. Instead they calm you down (which is very useful in reactor emergencies).
  • Rad Badge: Civilians only. Exposure to radiation will make the squares on the badge change color (green to red). If it's in the red, you are in trouble.
  • A bag full of gold coins - Probably fetch a pretty penny on the black market, once a black market was implemented.
  • Electric Can-Opener -

  • Anti-radiation Shower - removes radioactive particles from your body.
  • Helm - set course and speed for the ship
  • Automatic Defense Systems - There are three types of security turrets, equipped with either a machinegun, a tranquilizer gun or a fire extinguisher. Some of them can be switched off (see Defense Controls). A blue plate on the floor shows where turrets are located.
  • Defense Controls - Here you can switch the defense turrets on and off. There are Deck Control and Master Control Panels.
  • Lightswitch panels - All lighting systems are automatic. You need Engineering skill to override the program.
  • Comm Terminal -
