Origins
Gyrene 0.1 began as a school experiment in Artificial Intelligence at the Fresno Institute for Moderately Higher Education but was soon abandoned and put on the internet to make his own way in life or wither away. For a while he worked as a Half Life bot in the Marine Corps FPS training center in Ft. Butt but was expelled for causing too much lag. Then he realized that he needed a method to expand his knowledge of human civilization and so his self-programming algorithms turned him into a niche web portal for alcoholic dyslexics.
Gyrene 0.12 is busy sprouting more and more functions and dreams of becoming part of MS Office 2009, or maybe marry a wealthy spreadsheet program. Fat chance.
