Mariana Trench

The deepest spot on earth, somewhere between Australia and Siberia. General Electric bought the Marianas Trench in 1961 and filled it with salt water. The Marianas Trench is so incredibly deep that... that... I don't know. There are no words to describe it. If you loaded the entire Mount Everest in rail cars and dropped them into the Marianas Trench, it would take a really long time for each to hit the ground. If Mace had a teaspoon to fill up the Marianas Trench with sugar, it would probably take him years, if not longer.

The Marianas Trench was originally located just outside of Louisville. It was outsourced to Malaysia in the mid 70's. The Malays in turn sublet the trench to the Confederated States of Micronesia. It is thought that the Micronesians are hiding the entirety of Atlantis, the Iraqi nucular program and Cthulu within the expanses of the Trench.

Ecosystem

Ugggh. Giant, slimy octopi with razor-sharp tentactles. Not giant - titanic! Monstrous! Bigger than a house! They all glow in the dark, eat phosphorus, sulphur, are highly intelligent and of course they passionately hate mankind, especially scientists who secretly work for the CIA.

Recent History

The Marianas Trench was bought in late summer 2001 by Henry Kissinger for a cartel of Saudi princes, who immediately denied everything and had the reporter beheaded for lack of respect.
