King of all wikia. Sovereign of the wikiocracy. The new Dubya. Like the Pope, but still relevant.

Long ago, in the early years of the Ancien Régime, the great Soviet smiths forged nucular weapons of power. Nine thousand multi-warhead thermonuclear ICBMs for the mortal Americans, doomed to die from gamey jeep rushes. Seven thousand burrowing neutron bombs for the Chinese, in their mountain. And three thousand fun-sized suitcase nukes for the fair Muslim kings. But then the anonymous user learned the craft of nuke-making and made a nuclear bomb so big that the state needs to keep its exact potential secret for your own protection. And this anonymous user demanded that he or she be treated equally, and not have to register, despite being such an obvious bastard. And so your rights and liberties were sacrificed, for your own protection, and all of your rights, even your most fundamental (like your right to eat really smelly cheese) were handed over to the vicar of Jamoomba on Earth: The Wiktator. Thankfully, this abrogation of your rights has resulted in thousands of years of peace, and as a side-effect has prevented the mothmen from stealing your mother.

Modern Criticism

Modern scholars agree that The Wiktator, praised and exalted above all for ever, has generally failed to protect His subjects from automated agents who undermine the people's morale. There is a lively debate among researchers about whether this is simply a matter of incompetence or a deranged attempt to subvert His own rule. Those argueing the latter point out that it would take a person with wiktatorial powers only an estimated fraction of a nanosecond to protect a wiki page from being edited by an anonymous user.

Rank has its privileges.
Rank has its privileges.

Apologists of the Wiktator, however, remind us that such protection would come at the cost of preventing all users from editing the page and thereby preventing the people from expressing their love and devotion for the system.
